Hi all, I hope you are all doing well, I'm sorry I haven't written in a while its been pretty busy here...

Week 5, Mission week with Kent. We looked at the difference between Mission and Missions, learnt the building blocks of any society as displayed in tribal communities all over the world, and how Jesus was the most ordinary guy in the world.

"Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and all the people." Luke 2:52

We also discussed social barriers of the gospel, counter cultural mission, vs evangelism. Apostle means sent one, we have the same power and authority as the apostles in the Bible, its just a fancy word for missionary that we have separated and given more authority.

"The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you." Romans 8:11

Week 6, Spiritual Warfare with Lael, who taught with a victorious stand point. The enemy sees the truth and attacks it by telling us the opposite, the only power the enemy has is whispering in our ear, but this can still be very powerful if we don't understand its him. If it is not of God's character it is not of us because we are a new creation, so it must be of the enemy. Don't believe the lies, his words can be so easily mistaken for our own thoughts. But, we aren't to be afraid, we have the armor of God, and we have already won.

Week 7, Holy Spirit with Barry and Marnie. This week we went through each of the spiritual gifts, and what the whole Bible says about them all individually. It is like I have been reading a different Bible this whole time, the spirit is so active all throughout, even in the Old Testament, if it was active then, how much more so is it now that we live in Victory!

Week 8, Relationships with Brent and Peta Rutland (Brent is the Pastor of Elizabeth Church of Christ.) During this week we learnt that relationship with God, in faith, gives you the strength, and balance to go out and value the world (others.) You need things to do it, so control them and understand yourself so you can walk in humility to do it. We talked about how our relationship with God is most important, and He balances everything else for us. We also went through conflict resolution, and did a few different team building activities.

I was fasting both food and social media during this week, and I learnt what it means to really rely on Jesus, and to be filled by the Spirit rather than go hungry. I also had to make some tough decisions after a week of questioning God, but I know that He has the best for me so I just need to focus on and trust Him.

I led intercession for the Urdu Speaking Muslims in Fiji Friday morning, and had steak, potatoes and damper for dinner. We also push started Vivian in the rain. We led the DUOs service for our last

Week 9, Evangelism with Jacqui Ford. This week we spent some time discussing evangelism techniques, what stops us from evangelizing, and renounced those things, we then went out and did an outreach day in the shops.

This weekend we spent some time in a beach house on the Yorke Peninsula, where I was re baptized. I was originally baptized at about 9, which wasn't a bad thing, but I always felt it didn't mean enough to me at the time. I took this as an opportunity to re proclaim my faith as an adult to show that I really am taking this as my own faith. Also as a re commitment to a serious relationship with God, I have grown so much since I was 9 and I wanted to commission my adult life as a follower of Jesus.

This weekend we also spent some time at some farms a few hours north of Adelaide. While there we attended a youth worship meeting and a church service at Glory City Church Wanderea. The young adult community there are such an encouragement to Christian young adults everywhere, there is such a peace in the area, and a strength in their commitment to God and each other.

Please pray for us as we prepare for our fundraiser Friday night, and prepare to leave for Melbourne Sunday morning.

Thank you, God bless, Hannah.
